Why does this site exist?
So……
Why did I create this website? What was my motivation? And above all else, what in the hell is with that name “Happenings+”? A little backstory. If you really want to know the details, you can find the original About us Page here.
Regarding the name, “Happenings+”, that website was originally developed by me, as a “helpful” website that would exist alongside that ridiculous Faceplant site that is as useful as a box of sandpaper next to the toilet, instead of real toilet paper, or maybe three sea shells.
What a pile of CRAP. Anyway, with that thought in mind, I added a plus-sign “+” after the name of the community newsletters name to help communicate the fact that the information that they provide, would be provided here as well, but in a modern, 21st-century, technology-driven format, with substantially more interactive information with additional details and capabilities. Well, THAT was a mistake!
It quickly became obvious that, not unlike the local PTA or suburban high school cliques, and the power struggles that occur within or between them, doesn’t go away with maturity. Cleary, the wisdom that usually grows along with maturity, totally escapes these freaks. These same power-hungry elitists grow older and even more “power hungry”, which may also explain their rise through the ranks of the “Condo-Nazi’s.”
But that is in the past. THIS is now MY personal website, where I can say whatever I want, whenever I want, however I want to say it. If you don’t like it, leave. LEAVE!
Seriously, LEAVE NOW!
I will not hold back, and I will not be censored, nor will you, if you decide to leave a comment wherever that option is activated and possible. I promise.
Anyway, regarding the name, it will change, once I can think of a new one that conveys the meaning and/or intent of the site content. More important, however, is if and when I can justify the additional cost of a new domain name.
Oh, and just in case you’re interested, some of the content that I provided there, can be found here.
