The-Continuing Chronicles of KATO

…and Leon’s Getting Larger

Sorry. I really couldn’t resist. It should read, “The layout’s getting larger”, but as I was typing it, THAT popped in to my mind. Remember, I warned you about this…

A quick and easy way to add to the layout, is through the use of KATO Track Sets.

As I’ve mentioned previously, I started with the KATO M2 Starter Set. So it made perfect sense, to me at least, to continue by using the V5 Inner Oval Set, and the V6 Outer Oval Set, as they’re designed to work together.

Three ovals seems a bit boring. I’ll spice it up a bit with a V7 Double Crossover Track Set which will allow the train to switch ovals.

Here’s the layout with the addition of the Outer Oval set and the Double Crossover set.

It’s starting to look a bit better. At least it’s filling up the table!

Yeah, the wallet’s definitely getting a bit lighter.

But what happened to that Inner Oval?

Ah, THERE it is!

Ovals are starting to get boring. With another couple of pieces purchased individually, I was able to get this bent hot-dog shape (no further comments necessary, I know what you’re thinking).

Time to take a step back and breath for a bit

OH CRAP!   I STILL DON’T HAVE A TRAIN!
