Changes

Last time I posted, I showed you where I went with James’ layout.

I was envisioning it as being something rather fun to watch.

…and watch…

…and watch some more…

To keep this hobby interesting (crap, I’m yawning already), I should probably have something there to DO!

So it’s still, mostly, just a runaround, BUT, now, there’s a little more something to play with.

Both legs of the figure-8 have now been straightened out, and a new industrial / staging area has been added.

It’s not true to life, or prototypical, as they say, but that’s not exactly what I’m going for. To them, I retort…

Pbbbt!

Go ahead. Click it. You know you want to.

I dare ya…    1 TRIPLE dog dare ya!

I can’t believe you actually clicked on it

Me thinks we’re nearing the finish line of the design process, or at least the layout portion of it. I’m trying to visualize trains zipping around in a semi-orderly fashion.

NOPE! Not done yet!

That upper area just isn’t very, how shall I say, satisfying.

Adding a lump, or “tumor” to the upper area, started helping me envision some sort of terrain for the layout. Hence, the creek and lake.

Water features indicate low-laying areas and therefore suggest some higher ground, as in hills and mountains. Yep, it’s starting to come together.

Time to grab some more funds from the kids’ college fund and get me some supplies!
