Consider the fact that you are currently, RIGHT NOW, reading these words. And that I am currently, right now, in my own timeline, your history, writing, or more correctly, tapping on the buttons of a keyboard, that correspond to the letters of the words that I’m putting together to form, what I hope will be, complete and coherent sentences. And much more importantly, complete and coherent thoughts and ideas.
In the not so distant past, as of this writing, I would be using a typewriter to make “copy“, the article(s) if you will, that would then be sent down to the “typesetter” who would painstakingly lay out the individual lead “movable type” that would in turn be placed in to a printing press, covered with ink and well, pressed onto a piece of paper. VOILÀ! You got yourself, wait for it… a NEWSPAPER!
That was a colossal amount of time, money, and resources, available usually only to the wealthiest of people. Because of that, it was, more often than not, only what THEY wanted you to know (some things never change, it seems).
In the newest millennium, we have computers, the internet, and web creators/administrators. Sometime, as in my case, we are also the web content creators. It’s up to us to determine what is available for you, the public, to consume and digest.
